John Butler was the lead act at a community concert at the Waroona Showgrounds on Sunday.
John Butler grew up in the neighboring town of Pinjarra, which informed his passion and connection to Indigenous Australians. It is the close friendships he formed in those early years, particularly with the Kearing family that brought Butler back to Waroona.
The much anticipated concert supported the South West Basketball Aboriginal Corporation to fundraise for their annual basketball carnival and was held on the eve of the event concluding.
