Irish award winning playwright Noel O'Neill is bringing his A View from the Park drama series to South West as part of Bunbury's Fringe Festival.
The six short play series is set in a park, on a bench and performed by well known WA actors delves into the hearts and souls of several park-bench-sitters, at the same revealing things they never knew about themselves.
O'Neill's plays, famous for gazing into the darker side of humanity, while laced with humour, are no stranger to South West theater goers, and with his plays receiving standing ovations, such as his heart wrenching 'Under Any Old Gum Tree', based on the life of Collie man and Victoria Cross winner, Martin O'Meara and his politically stirring 'The Trial of John Boyle O'Reilly, based on the Irish poet and political prisoner who escaped from Bunbury on an American whaler in 1869.
A View from the Park will be performed at Bunbury Museum/Heritage Centre on January 22 and 23 at 7.30pm, and January 23 and 24 at 2pm.
