It was a beautiful summer night for the Bunbury Chinese Lantern Festival on February 13.
Queens' Gardens in the heart of Bunbury came alight with lanterns which represented faith, hope, love and peace.
The Chinese welcomed the Year of the Ox which represents intelligence, reliability and hard working.
Hundreds of people walked through and admired the lantern display as well as the Ox sculpture which was made by artist Rachel Wyde.
The event took on a slightly different format to previous years which would have seen Bunbury's Victoria Street lined with activities, food and entertainment.
The annual festival, hosted by the Yip family and supported by the City of Bunbury, aims to highlight different facets of Chinese culture and support goodwill between the Chinese community and the local community.
