A 33-year-old man is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on March 15 after he was charged for armed robbery.
Bunbury detectives said on March 14 about 4.40pm a woman in her 40s was driving along Bussell Highway in Carey Park.
She was driving a silver Ford Eco-Sport SUV through the roundabout when detectives allege the 33-year-old man ran out in front of her vehicle causing her to brake heavily and stop.
It is further alleged the man was armed with a knife and he threatened the woman before grabbing her and throwing her onto the road.
She was treated in hospital for a leg injury.
It is alleged whilst driving the stolen vehicle, the man was involved in an evade police incident in Eaton where he failed to stop for police and travelled through various streets, car parks and park land adjacent to a shopping centre.
Near the Australind Bypass the vehicle travelled through small bushes, hit a tree and became bogged in sand.
The 33-year-old man from Carey Park has been charged with aggravated armed robbery, reckless driving to escape pursuit by police, no authority to drive, driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop (circumstance of aggravation); and excess 0.08 per cent.
Detectives urge anyone who saw the silver Ford Eco-Sport SUV in the area of Carey Park, Eaton yesterday who has mobile phone or dash-cam vision, can upload it direct to investigators at:- https://wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/citizen/public/recklessdrivingeaton140321
