Around 500 people gathered at Bunbury's Anzac Park on March 15 in protest for violence against women.
The nation wide protests have been organised in the wake of serious rape allegations that hit Parliament House in Canberra with many Australians expressing their disgust at the Federal Government's handling of the incidents.
The crowd marched to Federal member for Forrest Nola Marino's office to deliver letters which ask for the government to consider reforms that would facilitate a fairer and more compassionate process for victims of sexual abuse.
Enough is a enough was the mantra spoken by everyone across all the events that took place.
Beth Castieau was the MC for the event and there were a number of guest speakers, including 15 year-old Bella Burgemeister who asked all the girls under 18 to stand up the front with her.
"We don't want to grow up in a society where we have watch what we wear, cant walk late at night or too attractive or speak out because of fear of more abuse," she said to the crowd.
"Don't ever say why didn't she leave, or why did it take her three years to speak up.
"Instead we should be saying 'we hear you, we see you and we stand with you.
"We are here because of ending gender based violence must start at the top.
"It is time for women to stand together, to demand change together and to smash the patriarchy together."
Other speakers included domestic violence survivor Lisa Chatwin, Katie Clarke and Edith Cowan University's Dr Marilyn Palmer who all echoed similar sentiments.
