Bunbury's Enable Western Australia celebrated their 30th year in business at the Lighthouse Hotel on Friday, March 26.
Held in the hotel's Koombana room, the event included an array of activities, dress ups and cupcakes for 76 of Enable Bunbury's internal staff.
Enable Bunbury's Chief Executive Officer Rob Holmes told the Mail that during his 14 years with the organisation, they have expanded from a small office on Forest Avenue, to a huge facility on Beach Road.
"Our staff numbers have grown from 40 to around 800. This is a fabulous group of people who are so well respected throughout the state," Mr Holmes said.
Operating since 1991, Enable provides support to individuals and their families living with disability and psychosocial diagnosis.
Enable's purpose is driven by the belief that everyone deserves a 'typical life', with over 700 support workers assisting people with disabilities in their home and throughout the community.
"We're now developing a model that's around having self-managed and directed work teams. Each of our hubs around the state make their decisions locally because they know what's going on in their area," Mr Holmes said.
To further celebrate 30 years, Enable Bunbury will host an awards ceremony for clients and staff, a ball gala and a music festival.
Staff and clients from the eight hubs will also be assigned a letter from 'Enable WA' and using their bodies, will spell out the letter to make a photo for display in reception areas.
