South West Traffic officers are appealing to the public after a motorcycle evaded police in Carey Park on Monday June 21.
The incident occurred around 5.30pm when police sighted a motorcycle with the registration 'KILLERTYRES' riding along Brittan Road.
Police said when lights and sirens were activated, the motorcycle failed to stop for police and turned left onto Ecclestone Street where it continued in a northerly direction.
The evade police intercept was terminated and a short time later the motorcycle was seen colliding with a dog who was trying to cross the road at the time.
The dog died from its injuries.
Police would like to know the identity of the motorcycle rider.
