Australind Swimming Club made a big splash at this year's Hancock Prospecting WA Short Course Championship earlier this month.
For the first time in their history, they finished as the top country club in the junior section beating out far bigger and much longer established opposition.
Along the way, three of the club's swimmers smashed a dozen club records, some that have stood for more than 20 years.
Australind Swimming Club coach Taarna Cam said she was delighted with the result, and was so proud of what the young swimmers had achieved.
"We went in hopeful; I knew the week before we went to the championships that the kids were swimming well; they were doing PB's in training.
"They were ready to race; It was just amazing. I was sat there just ticking off records that were being broken," Cam said.
The number of records and the new times that were set was impressive.
Between youngsters Jay Pfoeffer, Kael Byrne, and Ella Larkman, 12 Australind Swimming Club records were smashed at the champs held at HBF Stadium in Perth on the weekend of September 4 and 5.
Ten-year-old Jay was the most successful of the club's swimmers over the weekend, winning four bronze medals and claiming six new club records.

In one event, he missed out on gold by less than a second in the 200m breaststroke and smashed a club record by more than a minute in the 200m backstroke event.
'I was just going for PB's and came out with medals," Pfoeffer said.
"I want to change the colour of the medals next time I go to state champs," he added with a smile.
Coach Cam believes the club is just at the beginning of what she hopes will be a regular stream of medals and success for the club.
"I took over as coach 14 months ago and had a five-year plan; I believe the kids here at the club are good enough to all do well. If not winning medals, certainly doing PBs and improving their times."
Cam said the club is committed to starting from the ground up, and the juniors' results showed they were on course to give the club success in the coming years.
"The kids broke records set by Kyle Lee, a talented former club member, who tried out for the Olympics this year. The sky is the limit for them," Cam said.
