UPDATE September 26: Homicide detectives charged a 47-year-old man with two counts of murder after a 74-year-old woman and 75-year-old man were found deceased in their Capel home on September 24.
The charged man was expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court via video link from Bunbury on Sunday September 26.
Friday September 24: South West superintendent Geoff Stewart said the was no ongoing risk to community after two elderly people were found dead in Capel on Friday September 24.
The Homicide Squad were on the way to Berkshire Street when Superintendent Stewart spoke to media at midday.
He said Police received a call for help at the house on around 8.15am.
Police did confirm if the elderly couple were related or the details of their injuries.
A 47-year-old man was at the scene and was taken to Bunbury Hospital where he is receiving treatment for non life threatening injuries.
The man is also in custody and will be helping police with their investigation.
Superintendent Stewart said it was a disturbing scene for police and it the incident was 'certainly suspicious'.
"Our thoughts are with the people involved, their family and the people of Capel," he said.
"We have just dealt with another community with homicide and they are reeling, Capel will be reeling, without a doubt it will effect the community.
"Any town that goes through it, will be in a lot of pain."
