Margaret River-area delivery driver Thomas Halden reckons he's got one of the best jobs in town.
A regular day involves heading to the Margaret River Post Office to load up his van with parcels and boxes before setting off, sunglasses on and the volume turned up to eleven.
"I have been doing deliveries in Margaret River for about 5 years now," he told the Mail.
"I've pretty much been doing the east side of town - Riverslea area, etc - basically the whole time , but every now and then I'll do business and west side deliveries."
As well as having the freedom to listen to his preferred heavy metal music and spending the day driving around a picturesque country town, Thomas said one of the best parts of the job was meeting all the locals - great and small.
"I'd have to say the best part is definitely all the cute dogs I get to see," he laughed.
"But also all the lovely people I've gotten to know since starting the job. Some have become really good friends of mine.
"I also love being able to listen to whatever music I want as loud as I want. People definitely can hear me coming!"
Looking for a way to honour the scores of canine companions who call this community home, Thomas decided to set up an Instagram account.
"The idea kind of started when I would pick up dogs that have gotten out of their yards on the street, and take them back home," he explained.
"I had a few funny photos and videos on my phone of dogs in the back of the work van that were pretty funny.
"I'd show friends and customers, and they loved it. After a while I spoke to a few regulars that have some of the cutest dogs about the plan and they thought it was an awesome idea.
"It's quite funny especially if it's a new customer to the round, I'll always remember the dog's name over the owner's name... for the nicest possible reasons, the dogs are often way more memorable!"
With his daily photos and videos, Thomas has gained quite the online following, and said he was happy to be able to show a different side to his everyday job.
"It's been really good, people love it and I've had a lot people ask me if I'm the 'Posty Dogs' guy," he said.
"I think some people might believe as posties that we are scared of dogs.Or in my case that I'm a bad guy because I'm covered in tattoos and listen to metal super loud in the work van!
"I swear I'm a really nice guy and a big softie who loves dogs and a chat!"
