BUNBURY burst into colour on the weekend as members of the South West community enjoyed PrideFest 2021.
Hosted by Out South West on Saturday, November 20, the event saw around hundreds of attendees enjoy live entertainment, market stalls and food vans from 11am to 5pm at the Graham Bricknell Memorial Music Shell.
Entertainment included music by DJ Lexie, Sofia Watt from The Voice, Bunbury drag queen Fanta Sea, drag king Barry Mundi and new local drag talent, Macka Roni.
A variety of organisations were also at the event to provide helpful information, including Headspace, the Western Australian Aids Council, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays and more.
The Busselton Pride Alliance also attended the event to show it's support of pride in the South West.
One of the event goers, Eliza, recently moved to Bunbury and shared that they were at the beginning of transitioning from male to female.
"I'm about six months into the middle of my transition, but I'm in a good place," they said.
"It's definitely hard sometimes, especially with the judgement, but I find Bunbury accepting and Out South West are great.
"I cope with negative judgement by turning the negative into positive and when someone gives me a bad comment I just think, whatever and walk away."

Another organisation at the event were the Carey Park Scouts who according to the group are "known for their "support of diversity".
Southern River Scout Group scout Lauren Zekulich was helping the Carey Park Scouts with their paintball zombie shooter game at the event.
"I'm part of the Adventurous Activities Team and we travel doing things like this often, but we love events like these because we love supporting everyone," Ms Zekulich said.
"We don't want to leave everyone to the side no matter what they look like, where they come from, their background, what they believe in.
"We want to support and encourage everyone to be accepting of each other and of course have fun."
