COOINDA Primary School students are ready to perform at this weekend’s Lunar New Year festival.
As a multicultural school, Cooinda has a close relationship with the Bunbury Multicultural Group.
As a result the school will host the festival for the second time on Sunday.
Some of the students have been practicing a traditional Thailand dance as well as a fun Bollywood performance for the day.
The whole community is invited to attend the event and bring along a sharing plate.
The Lunar New Year celebrations will start at 10.30am with Thai monks praying.
Afterwards there will be a range of performances, demonstrations and food on offer for the public.
Lunar New Year is a traditional celebration for the Sri Lankan, Burmese, Cambodian, Thai and Indian communities.
