RELAY for Life is fast approaching and Bunbury residents are urged to enrol a team now.
Organiser Wendy Maslin said they aim to make this the biggest and best Relay for Life for its 10th anniversary in Bunbury.
Money Makers team captain Lara Hebbend hosted a masquerade wedding dress ball on the weekend and urged other teams to get involved.
“All you need is one person to stand up and say ‘right I’ll start a team’ and it snowballs from there,” she said.
Mrs Hebbend said it was one of the most rewarding things she has done and made a lot of close friends through Relay for Life.
The Relay for Life organisers are also looking for more volunteers for the day.
Mrs Hebbend and her team managed to raise more than $23,000 last weekend but she isn’t stopping there.
She is encouraging the public to join her this weekend when “blokes will rock their frocks” to raise money for cancer.
There will be a pub crawl starting at Elliot Street Bar on Saturday at 8pm.
Relay for Life will be held on November 3 and 4 at Payne Park.
