More than 1700 crowded the water for the race on Sunday, February 9.
One thousand dollars was up for grabs for the male and female who could break the record.

Yasunari Hirai, originally from Tokyo was the first male to finish with Paul Blackbeard coming in second.
For the third year in a row Jaime Bowler was the first woman over the line in an impressive 47.04 minutes.
Other activities for the day included classic beach games and sandcastle making for the children as well as the celebrity stand-up paddle board race.
