A CONTINGENT of police officers with search warrants converged on two houses in Kintore Street Moora last Friday morning aided by two sniffer dogs specially conveyed to Moora for the planned bust.
The two houses, opposite one another are located in the south-end of Kintore Street and have been under surveillance by Moora police.
“We have been gathering intelligence over a period of time which has resulted in this targeted operation,” said OIC Sergeant Kevin Taylor.
“Working in partnership with specialist support sections such as K9 section was extremely beneficial in bringing these drug dealers and users to justice”.
As a result of the search carried out in the two houses this morning a significant quantity of cannabis, amphetamines, equipment associated with drugs and money was found between the two premises.
Thirteen charges have been laid and ten accused.
Two adult males and one female have been charged with possession of drugs with intent to sell or supply and one adult male charged with possession of drugs. The four have been bailed to appear in the Moora Magistrates Court on March 5.
Five other adults have been charged with various drug offences and summonsed to appear in the Moora Magistrates Court on April 2.
One juvenile male was charged with drug offences and will appear in the April court.
“We intend to keep the pressure on the drug scene in the Moora area and you can expect further operations to take place,” Sgt Taylor said.
