BUNBURY’S modelling superstars Caitlin Lomax and Courtney Eaton have added to their impressive list of accolades at the Western Australian Fashion Awards in Perth last night.
Lomax, who has graced the runways of Chanel and Prada, was named International Model of the Year but was not in Perth to accept the award.
Eaton was named among the top six photographic models of the year.
She has proved herself a multi-skilled young star with roles in upcoming blockbusters Mad Max: Fury Road and Gods of Egypt and most recently presenting an award with actor Sam Worthington at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts awards.
The 18th annual Western Australian Fashion Awards is as glitzy and glamorous as Perth gets, with floor-length silks and jewel-adorned models, fashion and accessories designers, socialites, stylists, creatives and media who gathered at the State Theatre Centre.
The packed Heath Ledger Theatre boasted a crowd that included Zhivago designers Lara Kovacevich and Lydia Tsvetnenko, Mitchell Johnson's designer wife Jessica Bratich, boutique-owner Poppy Lissiman, evening-wear designer Ruth Tarvydas, Perth Fashion Festival director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and socialite and businesswoman Emma Milner.
Jaime Lee Major was the big winner of the evening, taking out the coveted Most Innovative Designer of the Year award, following a high-profile year that included her jaw-dropping show at the last Perth Fashion Festival and dressing Kimbra at the Grammys.
