South Bunbury was certainly a surprise package in 2013 finishing second after a disappointing 2012 season.
Yet they will still be disappointed in how their season ended leaving the finals earlier than they would have liked.
A good offseason where they addressed their key needs and allowed young players to keep progressing should see the Tigers finish high again this season.
Matt Giacci is a work horse who always gives 100 per cent and receiving help from players like Dylan Harper, Damon Bull and Fraser Millar can’t go underestimated.
If Guy Piggott can spend more time in the forward line this season South Bunbury will be reaping the benefits on the scoreboard, while a developing backline should be able to defend and then run the ball forward.
Matt Wilkinson will continue to grow and develop while the additions of former Swan District players Brett Robinson and Connor Lammie will keep South Bunbury challenging for a high finish.
The Tigers have the capability to finish anywhere among the top three and it’s hard to see them any lower than that.
A consistent playing group helped the Tigers last year and if they can keep that consistency going into this season they will be a chance against any opponent.
