Police want the public’s help to catch thieves who have targeted businesses in industrial areas of Perth, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Between May and June 2014 there have been about 10 burglaries in industrial areas of Jandakot, Henderson and Wattleup.
During several of these burglaries the offenders rammed roller doors at various premises, stealing industrial tools.
On some occasions they have used a forklift to load stolen tools on to the tray back of a white utility.
The burglaries have caused more than $290,000 in damage and there is $70,000 in outstanding stolen property.
Some of the damage was caused by the offenders driving a forklift into a fixed wing Cessna, which was housed in a hangar in Jandakot.
One of the more distinctive property items stolen was a blue trailer with a three-metre metal fuel tank valued at $6000.
During a burglary at Jandakot on June 16, police found a pair of red motorcycle gloves believed to be used by the offender or offenders during the offence.
