THREE people have faced a Bunbury court this week after a 17-year-old girl was abducted and attacked in Withers on Sunday morning.
South West Detectives officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Dom Blackshaw said the teen was sitting in a vehicle on Ocean Drive near Roscommon Place about 10.55am when she became involved in a heated discussion with two adults.
Senior Sergeant Blackshaw said the girl was dragged out of her car and forced into another car by a man and a woman who were known to the victim.
He said the girl was taken to a property in Withers where she was held captive for several hours and bashed before being released.
She took herself to Bunbury Regional Hospital to be treated for bruising to her face, arms and legs.
She left the hospital later in the day with her parents and has remained in their care.
A 57-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man, both from Withers, appeared in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday charged with deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm.
Bail was set at a $10,000 personal undertaking and a $10,000 surety.
Further investigation led to the arrest of a third person who police believe was at the house where the teen was held captive and was involved in the assault.
A 42-year-old Withers woman faced court yesterday with the same charges.
South West Detectives are continuing inquiries into the incident.
