A LARGE dose of rain at the end of July helped lift Bunbury’s rainfall total for the month, but it was not enough for it to reach the yearly average.
Despite being battered with 41.2 millimetres of rain on Friday, July 31, Bunbury only recorded 122mm of rain for the month, falling more than 20mm short of the July average.
Bunbury went without a drop of rain for 17 days of the month while Friday, July 3 (22.4mm) and Monday, July 20 (28.8mm) saw significant rainfall.
Without the rain cold temperatures set in across the city as the average minimum temperature for the month was 6.7 degrees, 0.6 lower than the July average of 7.3.
The lowest temperature recorded for the month had Bunbury shivering at just one degree on Thursday, July 9.
The highest temperature for the month came on the final day with July 31 recording a mercury level of 21.3 degrees Celsius.
The next week for Bunbury is forecast to bring much of the same with cloudy weather and possible showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
