SOUTH West Detectives have confirmed circumstances around a deceased woman in her mid-forties who was recovered from the ocean off Bunbury about 1.30pm on Thursday were not suspicious.
Detectives travelled to the Bunbury Sea Rescue base on Casuarina Drive to inspect the body which is believed to be a local woman.
Police officers worked with the Bunbury Sea Rescue crew to bring the body to land.
The woman's identity has not been released.
They were notified by Busselton Sea Rescue that a deceased person had been sighted about one-and-a-half nautical miles off the Bunbury coast.
Bunbury Sea Rescue Commander Albert Fullarton said the body was first discovered by a fisherman.
