A PASSION for dogs and a desire to run her own business led to Jacqui Ainsworth starting her boutique dog parlour in Bunbury.
Ms Ainsworth is well known in the dog world for breeding her poodles which she has shown on the world stage.
House of Artizan is her latest venture because she wanted to provide a personalised dog grooming service at an affordable price.
She has adopted a French Parisian look for the salon with a touch of bling, a splash of pink and a courtyard for dogs and their owners to enjoy.
“This is more than just a clip, I will offer a personalised service and always find out what people want,” Ms Ainsworth said.
“The dogs will leave having been groomed to reflect the integrity of their breed.
“The French courtyard will allow the dogs time to go out and get a breath of fresh air when they need it.”
She has trained in Victoria and has done grooming at home for a number of years and said there had never been a better time to start her own business.
The renovations have been completed by family and friends and she said without that support it would not have happen.
“My partner Bjorn has just been amazing and without him this would not have happen, he has been my builder and my confidant,” Ms Ainsworth said.
“My family have all chipped to help build and transform the building.”
The products used in the salon are specially formulated for dogs and Ms Ainsworth said she would only use something in the salon which was used on her own dogs.
The parlour is located at 96 Spencer Street, Bunbury and is set to open this week.
