Harvey and Waroona residents can now return to their properties through vehicle control points.
A bushfire watch and act is in place for people in an area bounded by Corornation Road, Nanga Brook Road, three kilometres east of Murray River down to Harvey-Quindanning Road, Uduc Road, Forestry Road and Forrest Highway.
The alert for this area has been downgraded due to favourable weather conditions, bushfire behaviour and the efforts of firefighters on the ground.
Milder conditions with moderate winds will assist firefighters to strengthen and consolidate containment lines today.
The fire is contained, but not yet controlled.
The fire is stationary, however some hop-overs and flare ups are still occurring.
Community meetings have been scheduled as follows for today:
Leschenault Leisure Centre, Leisure Drive, Australind at 1.00pm.
Murray Leisure Centre, 16 Camp Road, Pinjarra at 2.00pm.
