TWO Bunbury rising stars in the world of real estate have been recognised for their development at an international conference.
Australia’s leading property managers were joined by their counterparts from around the world on the Gold Coast earlier this month to receive updates on legislation and training from the best in the business.
Ten staff from Bunbury’s Just Property Management made the trip to Queensland for the conference and annual awards.
Among them was Chadez Hodge who was crowned runner up in the best leasing consultant category.
The role involves assisting tenants to find a suitable property while ensuring investors do not have extended periods of vacancy.
The judges noted the average leasing time to find tenants is 60 to 70 days but Ms Hodge has emerged as an industry leader by slashing her client’s vacancy averages to 22 days.
Dairne Smith was also crowned as a runner up in the rising star category.
This award recognised her efforts to use her varied background of skills and accelerated learning to excel in an ever changing industry.
The pair received their trophies during a gala ball held at Warner Brothers Movie World.
Just Property Management director Rhys Standley said the training delivered at the conference was vital.
“It can appear costly as a business to get the team over to Queensland each year but the benefits that our landlords and tenants receive are well worth the expense,” he said.
