Bunbury is set to get a chance to try the world’s only ‘patented protected’ burger this weekend with a stall set to sell the new creation at Edith Cowan University’s South West campus open day on Sunday.
A hamdog features a hot dog and a beef patty with tomato, lettuce, onion and cheese in a uniquely blended hotdog and hamburger bun.
Franchises are now rolling out across Australia and the USA.
Perth local and creator Mark Murray recently told 6PR the product was a long time in the making and tasted amazing.
“I refer to it as a super food – it’s got a novelty factor and it brings a bit of fun to the world,” he said.
After appearing on Channel 10’s program Sharktank, Mr Murray received support for his product and has been selling large numbers of the new product.
