Keeping true to the title of their single Holy Holy have been busy experimenting and evolving with their latest album due out in February 2017 to achieve new sounds.
Vocalist Timothy Carroll said they ventured into new territories with the new album by experimenting with moog synthesizers, electronic drum beats and venturing away from the 70s Americana vibe of their first release.
“We did try some new things with synths and some things came about as accidents – we have an electronic drum beat on a track from our new record which only happened because our drummer was sick,” Tim said.
“But we all began to get a bit attached to it so we kept it.
“It’s just one of the positive parts of the recording process, sometimes it can get hard and frustrating when something doesn’t work but then sometimes you break into completely new territories.”
Holy Holy’s music is taking a turn as Tim said they removed a lot of the rhythm guitar from their tracks and the melodies have taken a much more R and B style.
Holy Holy will be in Bunbury on Friday November 4 at the Prince of Wales Hotel.
