Good Nights is assuming a philanthropic form as it sets off on it’s trilogy of cafe shows for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.
Kelsie Miller has been hard at work to bring the three shows to different Cafe’s across the Bunbury CBD including Caf-fez, The Townhouse and La Pause Miam.
The first gig is on this Saturday night at La Pause Miam with band The Milkshakes taking to the stage.
Conquer Cystic Fibrosis is a volunteer-run charity and the leading fundraiser for research into the genetic disease in Australia.
The charity’s South West coordinator Taryn Barrett encouraged people to support the Good Nights events and in turn, this cause close to her heart.
“Through Good Nights, Kelsie already makes our city more vibrant so to be supporting local charities along the way is just fantastic,” Mrs Barrett said.
“My youngest son is one of the 3300 Australians with Cystic Fibrosis and the quality and length of their lives will depend on further medical advances.
"To have Good Nights and the community behind this cause means so much to me and many of the other families impacted by those disease in the South West.”
Good Nights is fast becoming known for it’s charitable exploits and raised $6000 last March for the victims of the Yarloop bushfires.
Kelsie Miller said she hopes Good Nights can raise $1000 for cystic fibrosis with the cafe series.
“I’m thrilled I can use Good Nights in a way that makes a positive contribution to the community and to people suffering with this debilitating disease,” she said.
Gordie Tentrees and Jaxon Haldane will be making their appearance on the stage at Caf-fez on March 1 and Ricky Green and Luke Fox will perform for audiences at The Townhouse on March 16.
Fresh from Bunbury Fringe, Ms Miller said the small cafe gigs were a good way to bring Good Nights back after the week-long festival and with a positive cause at the heart.
Tickets for the Good Nights Cafe Series can be found at alwaysgoodnights.com with $10 from each $30 ticket sale going towards Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.
