A team of Dalyellup College year seven and eight students have been guiding over 200 primary school students through the wonders of science.
Using a eclectic mix of science-based activities designed by science teacher Jenny Staker the students are showcasing what the primary school students can expect from high school science.
Ms Staker said a lot of work had gone into ensuring the students got the most out of the science sessions.
“Our lab technicians Jane Morrow and Carolyn Hayes have been working tirelessly to prepare the equipment ahead of time,” Ms Staker said.
“It’s fantastic to see our high school students using activities to engage with the primary school students.”
The activities explained the basics of electrical circuits, gas stations, the PH scale and human biology.
Over 25 Dalyellup College students voluntarily gave up their lunch break to teach Tuart Forest Primary School and Dalyellup Primary School students science.
