Jay Hoad is bringing his unique show back to WA this month as he makes his way around the globe following the launch of his new album Off the Cuff.
Hoad will perform an intimate gig for his only Bunbury appearance as part of the Always Good Nights concert series.
The Fijian-born musician performs on more than 17 instruments and has spent the last ten years touring all over the planet performing his unique show.
In 2013, Hoad toured North America supporting Bob Marley’s Wailers. He has also recently performed at music festivals around the world including Fiji, USA, India, Indonesia and Australia, and last year was awarded the prestigious ‘ARBA Blues and Roots Album of the Year’.
Hoad said they wanted to bring the show to as many regional towns as possible.
"We just love to bring the show to locations that don't really have touring artists to often, and this year’s tour features so many weird and wonderful instruments that it really gives the fans a chance and to hear and see something cool, new and unique.”
"I'm very excited about this year's cool locations and festivals on the various legs, and really excited to bring the new tunes and instruments to the fans around Australia and beyond.
“My favourite instruments on this tour are probably the cricket bat guitar, shovel guitar and the steam punk guitar which are made from car parts, shovels, kitchen sinks and sound incredible.”
Jay Hoad will play with special guests at Maker + Co on Friday, May 5 at 7pm for Always Good Nights.
