Bunbury-born ballroom dancer Dianne Buswell is set to take the United Kingdom by storm by joining the cast of popular TV show Strictly Come Dancing.
Buswell, a former Australian Open champion and four-time amateur Australian Open finalist, was revealed on Wednesday as a professional on the show.
In 2015, Buswell appeared as a professional on Dancing with the Stars Australia where she partnered former AFL player Jude Bolton.
She has also performed on Broadway and London’s West End as part of the Burn The Floor production.
Buswell told British media it was an honour to be part of Strictly Come Dancing.
“Words can’t describe how excited I am to take on this amazing challenge and give it my everything,” she said.
Ukranian dancer Nadiya Bychkova and Amy Dowden from Wales were also unveiled as new professionals for the 15th season of the show which partners a professional dancer with a non-dancing celebrity.
The program will air in the UK later this year with the celebrity lineup yet to be announced.
BBC sports presenter Ore Oduba was crowned champion of season 14 in 2016.
