Bunbury football product Connor Blakely has signed a two year contract extension to stay with the Fremantle Dockers until at least the end of the 2019 season.
The 21-year-old who played his junior football with the Bunbury Bulldogs, was taken with pick number 34 in the 2014 National Draft and hopes to continue to build a strong future in the AFL.
“The Fremantle group are showing really good signs at the moment,” he told his club’s website.
“If we can keep building and keep working towards that common goal, then anything can happen in the future.”
So far, Blakely has impressed in his 29 AFL games, picking up a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in 2016.
When not in the Fremantle side, Blakely plays for Peel Thunder where he won the Simpson Medal as the best on ground in Peel’s 2016 premiership win.
