A FIFTEEN centimetre kitchen knife allegedly used to stab an Australind man was presented in court yesterday as part of a five day murder trial.

Today is the third day in the murder trial of Australind woman Rachel Elizabeth Boyd.
Boyd is accused of stabbing her former boyfriend, Trent John Panizza, at their Australind home after an argument on January 28.
The trial will hear from a range of witnesses including family members, friends of the deceased and accused as well as police, forensics experts, a neighbour and an ambulance paramedic who was called to the stabbing.
Mr Panizza sustained a stab wound to his chest and later died in hospital.
Boyd has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Yesterday the jury heard statements from police officers and forensic officers, who examined the scene, and saw photographs of the scene and the weapon allegedly used.
Both families of the accused and the deceased were in court for the opening statements on Monday and were back in court yesterday.
Prosecutor Robert Wilson spent more than half an hour outlining details of the case.
Defence lawyer Linda Black is representing the accused.
The first witness called was the deceased man’s father, John Panizza.
Boyd was released from Bandyup Women’s Prison on bail in September.
