The council approved its strategy for allocating grant funding during the next financial year.
The City agreed to combine its Place Marketing and Community Assistance budgets to create the new grant funding budget for 2018/19.
The proposal was delivered to the council and approved earlier this month.
Council currently provides $95,000 for community assistance projects, $40,000 for the arts, $20,000 for place marketing strategies and $250,000 for events.
The City also signed off on a new proposal for sporting clubs and facilities in the region.
The plan will help with the potential co-location of user groups, the potential consolidation or relocation of existing user groups, establishing a portfolio of existing user groups, and providing facilities that fit the funding requirements of the State Government.
The strategy also focuses on redeveloping and facilitating provisions for the distribution of resources within the Bunbury-Wellington region.
