And like many other local women, she plans her outfit in advance to make sure she looks her best on the big day.
About three months before cup day, Miss Burton spotted a stunning gold Ruth Tarvydas dress in the top designer’s Perth store and knew it would be the perfect trackside look.
She decided to go for classy simplicity, scaling back her accessories and hairstyle to allow the embellished and beaded dress to stand out and make a statement.
Her plan obviously worked because Miss Burton has been named the winner of the Nina’s 100 Best Competition (number 47 in the photo gallery).
In a tightly run race, Miss Burton took the title with 600 votes which she racked up with help from friends and family.
Nina’s and the Bunbury Mail set up a photo booth on cup day and the first 100 men and women to have their photo taken are in the running to win the 100 Best Dressed prize.
Miss Burton will receive a beautiful diamond and pearl pendant from Nina’s valued at more than $2500.
