THE Amazing Race is coming to Bunbury.
200 competitors will hit the ground running on May 17 as they race around the city completing a number of challenges in the quest for glory.
The event is a Relay For Life fundraiser organised by Aaron Pittard and the members of Team Orange.
Mr Pittard told the Bunbury Mail he was blown away by the popularity of the event.
“Some friends and I were in Perth recently and we were thinking about some new ways to raise funds for our Relay team,” he said.
“The idea of a scavenger hunt snowballed into us running an Amazing Race challenge.”
The team have participated in the Relay For Life for the last four years and hope the amazing race event will raise more than $5000.
“The race will feature a number of challenges at some of Bunbury’s best known landmarks,” Mr Pittard said.
“Some of the challenges will be a bit physical but there will also food challenges and a lot of trivia so everyone will learn something along the way.”
The race is a sell out and the team are planning a charity auction once the race concludes.
“We are still on the lookout for any local businesses that would like to donate auction items or prizes for the day,” Mr Pittard said.
