TWO Collie locals are to represent WA in the darts championships to be held in Adelaide from July, 22 to August, 1.

Collie Shire President Wayne Sanford presented Conan Ugle and Ijah Coyle with a cheque each of $250 as part of council's policy to financially assist the out of pocket expenses of local sporting individuals who have been selected in a Western Australian State or Australian National representative team.

Conan "The Destroyer" Ugle won the men's singles last night and won the state mixed doubles, together with his wife, last week.

Mr Ugle also broke a record last month for the highest average for one game.

"We are feeling very competitive and we intend to thrash the competition," Mr Ugle said.

Colleague Ijah "Nunga Nyoongar Leprechaun" Coyle said that WA could be ranked the top state in Australia.
