Students joined with teachers, staff from Talison Lithium, Global Advanced Metals and Greenbushes Tidy Towns Committee members to carry out the planting on the land which is opposite the school grounds.
The new plantings will add to extensive revegetation on the block which has been carried out by students from Greenbushes Primary School over the past few years.
This year the students also installed cardboard weed mats around the seedlings to stop invasive weeds from choking the plants.
For the past two years students have also been involved in weed mapping and identification, construction of a bee hotel and litter pick-ups to improve the small area of native bushland adjacent to the school grounds.
The trees were donated by Talison Lithium and environmental staff from the mining operations assisted students by drilling holes for the seedlings and providing instruction on planting techniques.
Greenbushes Tidy Towns Committee Coordinator Leonie Eastcott said the bush block was an asset for both the school and the community.
