STUDENTS from Bunbury Catholic College are preparing for the trip of a lifetime – immersing themselves in the sights, sounds and culture of India.
Nine students from Year 10 to 12 will join their peers from Mandurah and Busselton for the enriching experience.
“The students will help out in orphanages in Calcutta and deliver meals in the north for 10 days,” she said.
“They will also visit iconic sites such as the Taj Mahal and get to see what life in India is really like.”
The idea for the trip started two years ago to give students an alternative to leavers week but as interest in the project has grown, the year 10 and 11 students have been included.
The group are currently fundraising for the trip and have received donations from the school’s ex students association and the Bunbury Leschenault Rotary Club.
