AN anonymous group of knitting enthusiasts have made a splash by yarn bombing the trees outside Donnybooks and the podiatrist in Donnybrook.

The colourful craft appeared early last week, with three trees receiving brand new clothes decked out with owls, pom poms, flowers and even a snake or two, while a tree outside the podiatrist now wears many knitted feet.
Yarn bombing, also known as yarn storming, kniffiti, and graffiti knitting, originated in the US as a way of personalising and reclaiming public spaces.
