SWIFTS and Minx met for the A2 grade preliminary final.
Both teams started off strongly with Steph Robinson and Shayna Cabrini battling it out against each other in centre, both having to work hard for every ball.
In goals for Swifts Ash Piavanini and Kodie Kaurin were shooting accurately matched by Minx shooters Candice Cox and Toni Cameron, who managed to rebound many of their missed shots and secure the goals.
At the first break the score was 11-all.
The second quarter was much the same as the first, both teams shooters still shooting accurately.
Jorden Harms in defence for Swifts made some vital intercepts giving Swifts the lead at half time 27 to Minx 22.
Minx made some changes in the third quarter to try and make a comeback but wayward passes and basic errors allowed Swifts to only add to their lead.
The three quarter time score Swifts 41 to Minx 24.
It was a much improved Minx team in the fourth quarter but the damage was done and Swifts won easily 55 to 35 securing them a spot in the grand final.
In A grade the loss of one of Aztecs' key players left them one player short.
Aztecs did their best to keep up with Lynx but one player down against a full strength Lynx team was just too hard a task.
The Lynx attacking line of Teagan Roney, Kira Bebbington, Bec Stewart and Courtney Salmeri worked seemlessly to get a mighty 74 goals for the game.
The accurate shooting of Carly O'Brien wasn't enough for Aztecs who scored 43.
Lynx will now go on to play Pumas in the grand final on Tuesday night.
The highschool grade will kick off grand final night at 5.30pm with Red versus Green; A2 play at 6.30pm, Blazers versus Swifts; and A-grade at 7.45pm, Pumas versus Aztecs.
