A WET end to August helped push Bunbury past its average rainfall total for the month.
More than 47 millimetres of rain fell from 9am Friday to take the August total to 125.4 millimetres – eight millimetres above the long term average.
The recent falls take the total for the year to 591.6 millimetres.
Both the maximum and minimum temperatures were higher than average for this time of the year.
The average maximum of 20.1 degrees is higher than the long term average of 17.6 with 23.3 on August 17 providing a glimpse of the spring to come.
Night time temperature averaged 8.6 degrees last month, a degree warmer than the long term average.
This week, the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast partly cloudy conditions with temperatures ranging from 19 to 21.
