Officers raided the home last Friday and allegedly discovered 34 plants in the backyard and a secret room underneath the house.
The trapdoor was discovered when one officer saw something underneath the home which looked unusual.
When officers pulled open the man-made trapdoor they allegedly discovered 13 mature cannabis plants under grow lights.
Police said a further six plants were hanging upside down drying in the garden shed and 20 small seedlings were growing in a patch in the backyard. Collie police charged Luke William Sloan, 33, with possessing cannabis, drug paraphernalia and cultivating cannabis with intent to supply.
He appeared in Collie Magistrates Court yesterday where he wasn't required to enter a plea and will reappear on October 8.
Collie police acting senior sergeant Tracey Keown said the raid was part of an ongoing campaign to reduce the number of drugs in Collie.
"We will continue to target people who cultivate and supply drugs in the community," Snr Sgt Keown said.
