THE South West Youth Driver Development Program has welcomed tyre manufacturer Kumho Tyres and H&H Automotive onboard as program sponsors for the next three years.
Program deputy chair Murray Cook praised the companies for their support.
“Without support of this nature and the very generous support of other sponsors, a program of this nature would not be possible,” he said.
Beginning in 1998, the program is run out of Bunbury and the aim is to cut the number of young people who are injured or die on our roads as a result of poor driving habits.
It develops positive and safe attitudes to driving as well as teaching basic skills.
More than 300 students went through the training program with parents and guardians used as mentors.
