STUDENT Francine Nash has been named the 2014 winner of the SKAL award for achievement in tourism and hospitality studies at the South West Institute of Technology.
Ms Nash is currently enrolled in the Certificate IV in Tourism having completed the Certificate III course.
“I enrolled at the institute to pursue my interest in tourism and travel and I am wanting to get into the industry,” she said.
“The lecturers have been lovely and I would recommend the course to anyone who is considering retail travel as a career.”
SKAL International, the association of travel and tourism professionals, sponsors the award and presented Ms Nash with a scholarship to further her studies and get her closer to her goal of becoming a travel agent.
