This week marks the return of Bunbury’s Re.Discover street art project, which made its debut in the city last January.
The 2014 event, led by Bunbury artist Andrew Frazer, was an overwhelming success and local creative types, businesses and the wider community have been counting down the months until its return.
An impressive list of WA artists have already made a start on transforming CBD walls with their own unique style and will continue to paint through the week, allowing the community to watch their creations come to life.
The artist line-up has almost doubled in size with 11 names, including new additions Beastman, Sean Morris and Twoone as well as the return of Stormie Mills, Kyle Hughes-Odgers and concept creator Mr Frazer.
But the street art is just one exciting element of this innovative event.
Local creative hub Maker + Co will host a ticketed artist Q and A on Thursday, January 15.
An Art Party will be held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre’s undercover carpark on Friday, January 16 in collaboration with Re.Discover.
Residents and visitors alike can join a walking tour, group exhibition and after party to be held at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries on January 17 from 5pm onwards.
The walking tour and exhibition are free but the after party is a ticketed event.
