JOEL Karafilis won the Bridgetown Lawn Tennis Club's Junior Championships on Sunday March 15 after winning a tight game against runner up Thomas Clynch.
A tie breaker determined the winner, with Karafilis winning 7-5. It was a tense game with Clynch coming from behind to bring the game to the required tie breaker.
Bridgetown Lawn Tennis Club President Chris Shedley said the club's Junior Championship was a great tournament.
"It was great and the kids really enjoyed it," Mr Shedley said.
"They were enthusiastic and wanted to play as many games as they could. It was a fun day for everyone and I would like to thank all the parents and helpers for their support."

14's Singles: Winner - Joel Karafilis, runner up - Thomas Clynch.
14's Doubles: Winners - Seb Doust and Thomas Clynch, runners up - Joel Karafilis and Mitchell Pitts.
10's Singles Boys: Winner - Jayden Doust, runner up - Charlie Youngson.
10's Singles Girls: Winner - Sarah Jakobson, runner up - Abbey Pitts.
10's Doubles: Winners - Sam Waters and Abbey Pitts, runners up - Zaccai Nunn and Sarah Jakobson.
8's Singles Boys: Winner - Sam Doherty, runner up - Zaccai Nunn.
8's Singles Girls: Winner - Emily Karafilis, runner up - Keziah Nunn.
Beginners Singles - Winner - Cassidy Waters, runner up - Miylan Mahoney.
