SHE is a reason to smile for many sick children when she puts on her fairy wings and spreads happiness around Princess Margaret Hospital.

Originally from Bunbury, Sandra Ursino is the national operations director for Radio Lollipop, a charitable organisation which delivers fun to children in hospital.
In 2013 she won an Order of Australia medal for her dedication to the organisation.
“When you see a sick child smile it makes a big diference and it reminds me how important Radio Lollipop is,” she said.
Ms Ursino’s sister and Bunbury woman Erin Jackson started a girl’s night out in 2013 to celebrate friendship and raise money for Radio Lollipop.
Last year the event raised more than $23,000 and tickets for this year’s event sold out in less than a day.
A new initiative as a result of the money raised from the Girlfriends Night Out will see the Bunbury hospital children’s ward at St John of God receive Radio Lollipop Activity Packs.
The activity packs will provide a range of games, colouring books and pens that will be restocked as necessary.
At Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth, the Radio Lollipop station allows children to talk on air and request songs.
“After some of the children had visited the radio station they didn’t need their pain medication because their mind had been distracted,” Ms Ursino said.
This year the Girl’s Night Out will be held at the Lord Forrest Hotel with more than 400 guests.
