A LOCAL florist is counting her lucky stars after a car smashed through the front window of her shop on Forrest Street.

Witness Rebecca Wheeldan was just walking out of the Chemmart store at the time of the incident and said that it appeared the elderly gentleman had been trying to park and hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
He mounted the kerb and went on to the footpath before smashing through the front of the store.
"The wheels screeched and a lady walking by just got out of the way in time."
Ms Wheeldan said the elderly gentleman exited the car pretty quickly and appeared uninjured but shaken by the incident.
The owner of the Collie Floral Studio was luckily out the back at the time of the incident and was uninjured, but appeared visibly shaken.
The Collie Floral Studio had only just been recently renovated.
