PREDICTIONS that this year’s Dawn Service in Bunbury would attract close to double the crowd rang true as at least 7000 turned out in the CBD this morning.

A convoy of spectators made their way towards the city centre from as early as 5am to see Bunbury mark the Anzac Day centenary.
The Australind Emergency Service Cadet Unit and the Bunbury Scouts guarded the memorial in an overnight vigil on Friday night.
The newly-restored Bunbury War Memorial was the centrepiece of a moving commemoration at 6am, which saw war veterans and their families march from the RSL Hall to the memorial.
Master of ceremonies Alf Mainstone led the service and The Ode was read by RSL President John Gelmi and recited in Maori by Father Kuzie Tuhura.
The Bunbury Men of Song performed moving tributes including the song Band of Brothers.
Lomax Media broadcast from two large screens on either side of the cenotaph to allow more people to see the service.
The dawn service will be followed by a 10.45am march from the RSL Hall to the Graham Bricknell Music Shell for an 11am service.
The Royal Australian Air Force will provide flypasts in support of Anzac Day services across WA this morning, with planes expected to fly over Bunbury at 9.55am.
