THE Department of Parks and Wildlife is continuing burns at the following locations to manage bushfire risk and for nature conservation:
- 15km east south-east Nannup
- 9km south-east of Nannup
- 10km north-east of Nannup
- 11km south-west of Balingup
- 10km south south-west of Balingup
- 10km south-west of Bridgetown
- 9km east of Collie
Smoke may be visible.
Motorists should take care, turn on headlights and carefully follow traffic management signs when driving through areas affected by smoke.
People with conditions exacerbated by smoke should take precautions in line with their medical advice for these circumstances.
Burning is the primary tool available to Parks and Wildlife to manage fuel loads, which helps protect the community by minimising the impact of bushfires.
